We live in a world that wants the ethics of Jesus without the authority of Jesus. His name is used to promote causes He never endorsed and justify agendas He never blessed. Politicians invoke Him. Activists quote Him. Social movements parade His teachings, so long as they don’t have to bow to His Lordship. They want the kingdom without the King. They want His justice but not His judgment. His compassion but not His cross. His moral clarity but not His call to repent. But Jesus is not a mascot for your platform or a philosopher to prop up your cause. He is the risen Son of God, the reigning King, the treasure hidden in the field. And you cannot have the benefit of Christ while rejecting His rule. You cannot carry His banner while ignoring His voice. You either sell it all and follow Him, or you walk away with nothing.
