The 3 Kings Pt. 1: The Cost of Partial Obedience
May 31, 2024 • Dr. Samuel D. Tootle III
King Saul exposes the spiritual cost of partial obedience and the danger of substituting personal reasoning for submission to God’s Word. Through Saul’s failure in 1 Samuel 15, this study makes clear that incomplete obedience is still rebellion in God’s sight. Saul’s attempt to justify disobedience with religious activity reveals a heart unwilling to fully trust God’s authority. His downfall stands as a sober warning that God desires wholehearted obedience, not selective compliance.
